21/22 curling opportunities

Edinburgh Curling Club will be running the usual variety of curling leagues, competitions, and bonspiels throughout the season, and entries are now open. Regardless of whether you just want some extra games or will be playing to win, our previous entrants are excited to return and welcome new entries. If any of the following are of interest to you, please email the office for more info and to register your interest:

Open Mixed League (Cousin Trophy): Teams consist of any 2 males and 2 females, playing on Tuesday evenings across the season (6-10 games depending on entries).

Open Seniors (Half Century League): Teams of any 4 players aged 50+, play a casual and very friendly league on Friday afternoons across the season (about 9 games).

Club League (Linlithgow Trophy): A small league of clubs playing on Sunday mornings across the season (6-10 games depending on entries).

Open Ladies (Monday Ladies League): Teams of any 4 ladies and played on Monday afternoons. Traditionally it has had teams split between two divisions, with each team playing about 6 games across the season.

Club double rink knockout (Swan Trophy): We already have 7 clubs confirmed for this popular double rink knockout, played on Thursday afternoons between November-January. Each club is represented by two teams who play against another club at the same time, with the club scoring the highest combined total progressing. This is possibly our most competitive and exciting competition. There’s space for one more club to enter!

Open Pairs: Our annual open pairs competition will be played in the daytime of Saturday 21 November. Teams of any two players can enter this competitive knockout competition. The finalists qualify to represent Curl Edinburgh at Scottish Curling’s National Pairs Championship later in the season.
