Home Teams Perform Well in 2018 Sellar Trophy
This year’s Sellar Trophy took place on January 23-25. The Sellar is a ladies’ competition open to curlers from around Scotland.
After three days of play, two very exciting finals went down to the wire. Skip Margaret Robertson managed to score 3 in the last end to beat skip Maggie Barry 8-7 in the High Road.
The all-home Low Road final was 5-4 to Marjorie Kidd going into the final end. Marjorie was lying one and Vicky Gumley was short in her final stone allowing Marjorie to steal. The final score was 6-4.
Many thanks to Macsween Haggis and Laurence Smith & Son Ltd for their very kind sponsorship of this event.
