Midcalder Win the Midlothian Province Bonspiel

Monday 30th January saw 328 different curlers come through the door, playing in one of the 6 sessions throughout the day. A great buzz was felt around the rink with club members staying to watch their next club team playing.  At the end of a very long day, it was Midcalder who won the event with an average of 6.67 with 3 teams playing.  Winning the Colin Black Trophy was the 12 noon team for Edinburgh Ladies. This is awarded to the highest shots up rink, outside of the competition winning club – the ladies had +11.  At the end of the evening Province President, Trevor Dodds presented the trophy to Basil Baird and Stewart Barr.
